Is your dream
big enough to scare you? Dare to dream!
A small kid, probably 8 years old. Her parent tucked her
in bed and she had all the thoughts running that were been processed throughout
the day. She closed your eyes and saw a girl wearing a white coat and
stethoscope in her neck. Her eyes were shining and twinkling with proud. A
shout was heard: Dr. it’s an emergency, and the girl went running to the
emergency ward. “Scalpel please”- said the Dr. You were just smiling like an
idiot after seeing this and suddenly you open your eyes. And boom- it was a
dream. That small girl got amazed by the beauty of a dream she had.
That small girl turned into a teenager and came to a
point where the peers started discussing about what each person wants to become
when they grow up. A boy said he wants to become an actor, other girl shouted
modeling, the other one wanted fashion designing, an artist and all those
creative ideas. That little girl remained silent as she was surprised listening
to all those creative careers her peers wanted to pursue. She started thinking
about that and shockingly she got a thought of changing her career for the
first time in all these years! On being asked what she wanted as her future she
responded “dancer”.
After one year, she was broken into pieces. It was the
worst day of her life. The girl lost a person whom she loved the most- “Her
Dad”. Dr. said it was due to immense pressure on his body that he got an attack
– “Heart attack”. She went numb. Didn’t understood what to do, how to handle
herself. Tears rolled down her cheeks and after a while she screamed with pain.
She got chills all over her body and she just sat down. That day passed by, but
chose not to speak anything to anyone and the tears continued rolling down her
cheeks. A few days later, she tried to find out the reasons why this happened.
She got the reasons and the mechanism for an attack. That was the time that
little girl got back on her dream to become a Dr.
She started preparing for the entrance exam. Watching
the lecture, practicing questions, writing down the notes and giving the tests.
She improved in every test. There were many times she failed those tests, she
got depressed by her results, made herself guilty but she did not give up. It
was now the time for the final exam. The clock stroked on completion of three
hours and everyone came out by a happy and cheerful face. The girl, she had a
disappointed face and she knew she did not do well in her exams. She broke down
and started questioning herself- is she good enough for this path? Can she
fulfill the dream of 8-year-old child in herself? She started getting all the
negative vibes and came to a conclusion to drop what she chose a long time ago.
And there came a fairy in her life. She told that one
failure is not the end of your life. There are many other ways that you can
succeed by taking everything in a positive manner. And the girl started looking
for other options. There was another path to pursue the same career which
worked wonders for her. And she chose it.
There were times she failed, broke down felt guilty.
She even started fearing the career she chose and got a doubt in herself
whether she was capable of doing that or not. But at last, she got a path
through which she can get success for her dream.
“If the dream does not scare you, it is not right for you!”
